Is "Jedi" a valid name?
My name is Heather. I lived in Hungary last summer and there was no translation for "Heather" so they gave me the Hungarian name "Hédi". I would like to keep my "foreign name" consistent, so now that I have some Spanish friends, would it be strange to introduce myself as "Jedi" (it would be pronounced the same)? Thank you!

"Jedi" in Spanish sounds nothing like "Jedi" in English, so I don't think you'll have to worry about Darth Vader.

Hédi might work as long as you don't write it out as "Jedi". Otherwise, they might call you Luke Skywalker.
As long as you are wielding a light saber, you shouldn't get any funny looks for being named "Jedi". Just be on the lookout for Imperial Walkers, bounty hunters, and anyone who appears to favor the "darkside". In the words of Nadamas, "May the force be with you."
