What does mommi mean?
I went to a restaurant in Florida and the young lady addressed me as "mommi" and my husband as "poppi" Does these names mean the same in spanish as it does in English?

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Those names are the same in English and Spanish, not some secret code.
It's just a waitress being very informal, call you and your husband Mami and Papi. It's similar (in terms of informality) to a waitress coming up to a table where a young man is sitting and saying, "What'll you have, sweetheart?"
