Need help translating into spanish for a tattoo

I am planning on a getting a tattoo next week and would like to verify that my translation is accurate...

Here is the English text:

For it was not into my ear that you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.

My translation:

  • *Should this be oído instead??
  • *Should this be mi boca instead??

Any help is much appreciated.

Fewer characters = less pain raspberry smile

I used the "tú" form of the verbs, even though it was more characters. It just sounds odd using the "Usted" form for someone doing those things to you. ;-) - gintar77, Jun 10, 2011
