Dear Expert,

In the book that I am reading this sentence: '¡Ojalá llegue descansado a su destino! is classified as: simple; asimilada atributiva; optativa.

I am not sure about 'optativa' sentences. Is this sentence classified as such because the subject (ÉL) is inferred and not specified?

I shall be appreciative of any clarification that can be given.

Many thanks,

Bonpet

Oraciones optativas o desiderativas: means the sentence expresses a wish or desire, which triggers the use of the subjunctive.
