I know "se puede" means "you can" but can I also say "usted puede" to mean "you can" ?

se puede means you can if the "you" is the impersonal "you". Similar to one can.

Yes, you can say usted puede when the you refers to the person that you are addressing.

There is a similar difference in the plural. There is an impersonal "they" and a "they" referring to people about whom you are speaking.

"Se puede" is more like "one can". You can use "usted puede" or just "puede".
