Example: Muchísimo = very (very) much.

Is there a rule for when, or how, the suffix ísimo can be attached for emphasis or to to make a superlative?

It should be "Muchísimas reglas", as the superlative of "muchísimas" still remains an adjective.

As far as I know, it can be used with almost qualifying adjective (and sometimes other adjectives, some adverbs and nouns). Only a few ones like "heróico" or "próximo" do not accept this suffix, and there are a very few irregular ones, like "celebérrimo" or "libérrimo", which almost no one knows anyway.

I think he wanted to say "Reglas de la palabra 'Muchísimo'" - 005faa61, Jun 8, 2011
Ah, now I get it. I read the whole title in Spanish, since both words were Spanish. I would have understood it perfectly if it had been "Muchísimo rules" (or even better "Rules for muchísimo", of course) - lazarus1907, Jun 8, 2011
