Having some trouble translating this.

It would be...

"Le habla a ella lo sobre". Correct?

Ok, let's try now:

Hablale a ella sobre esto -- Correct?

I think the indirect object wants to follow the verb in this informal command. And "lo sobre" sounds strange.

Háblale a ella sobre esto

would be better, I think.

Oh, right. Habla is a command, so I can attach "le" to the end. Ok, and sobre esto does sound a bit better. Thanks! - SonrisaDelSol, Jun 8, 2011
'...sobre ello." - 002067fe, Jun 8, 2011
Why is there an accent over the "a" in habla? - SonrisaDelSol, Jun 8, 2011
Because that's where the spoken accent falls. - Jeremias, Jun 8, 2011
Ok, thanks. - SonrisaDelSol, Jun 8, 2011
Just to add to what Jeremy said: Yes, it is because that's where the spoken accent falls, but that alone would not necessarily mean that you have to write the stress mark. - Oramasdude, Jun 8, 2011
It's just that 'Háblale' is an "esdrújula", or a word in which the stress falls on the antepenultimate syllable. In these cases you always have a written stress mark. - Oramasdude, Jun 8, 2011
The easier to understand explanation is that when you attach pronouns to verbs the stress must remain where it was before the pronouns were attached. - 0074b507, Jun 8, 2011
Tom, I understand that ello is the personal pronoun to be used after prepositions for neuter concepts (it), but why is esto incorrect? - 0074b507, Jun 8, 2011
