Look here...

For the present tense, it says it can mean I dance or I am dancing. I thought that the only way you could say "I am dancing" is "Estoy bailando".

I was not aware that "Yo bailo" could mean "I am dancing". oh oh Can someone explain why that means "I am dancing". red face blank stare

I believe that is referred to as verb aspect. The present tense has several different aspects.

I dance, I do dance, I am dancing. The present tense can also refer to future and past times.

Voy a bailar.

I am going to dance there next week. or I am dancing there next week.

The present progressive tense is used when you wish to emphasize that the verb's action is ongoing at the exact moment that you spoke.
