What does "hacer corajes" mean?

A Mexican friend of mine used this expression to talk about someone else, as in "haciendo corajes." What would be an approximate English phrase to say the same thing?

Thanks.

A little context: the person being described as "haciendo corajes" can be quarrelsome and bad-tempered. - nanseeking, Jun 5, 2011

It's an expression that means "somebody is angry".
