Past tense of 'watched' :D

I want to say 'i watched a movie' but as watch (ver) is irregular i cant figure out what it would be. Please help x :D

Past tense has always two tense in Spanish

In this case:

Vi una película

or

Veía una película.

The difference is in the first is something that finished then and now too.

In the second one, is some that was happening (in the past) that might have finished already or not, it depends on context.

For example:

I watched the movie and returned home immediately.

As I watched the movies, the people sitting behind me were a constant nag with their comments about the movie.
