Engañar

to deceive; to cheat on; to appease

Post your sentences in Spanish and English, then vote for the ones you like. The best answer will be chosen tomorrow on the basis of the greatest number of votes and language correctness.

This thread is being moderated by Mariana.

Posts which will not be corrected or accepted:
- Captions with 3 words or less
- Paragraphs with more than 4 lines
- Blatant machine translations and posts which cannot be understood after three or four readings.
- Posts which consist mainly of lyrics or idioms which do not translate.
- Captions copied directly from books or other sources.
- Multiple posts from one person, or those who don't write the sentences in both English and Spanish.
----------
Remember to correct your posts as suggested or they can NOT be "accepted".
Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish. (You'll be sent to the dunce corner!)

My Example:

Cuando estaba en colegio, les estudiantes no podían llevar sus gorras durante exámenes. Aparentemente, algunos estudiantes engañarían por escribiendo las repuestas en sus gorras.

When I was in college, students could not wear their hats during tests. Apparently, some students would cheat by writing the answers on their hats.

Chris I know that some advanced students of Spanish post here but who is moderating your post please? You need a native person or advanced speaker to check people's sentences and offer corrections whereever necessary :) - FELIZ77, Jun 4, 2011
