Can the word "logo" be used as "simbolo" ? Some people do not like to use the word logo in the Spanish translation

Logo o logotipo está correcto en castellano.

simbolo is reffering to an alphabet, logo is reffering to a brand or company

I use it, and yes, it can be translated as símbolo.

I prefer logo, it's more used to refer to brands.

"Logo" is a shortening of logotype (or maybe logogram), so "logograma" in Spanish is a perfect match, unless you want to leave it as "logo" too.
