No, they are not related.

"Corazón" is etymologically related to "heart", "cardio", "cordial", "accordion", "courage", "record", "accord", "credit", "core",... and many more. "Heart" originally had to do with agreement and memory.

"Querer" is etymologically related to "acquire", "query", "require", "conquest", "exquisite"... and most likely, to "who", "where", "what"... The Latin quaerere meant to seek, to ask, to try to get.

No Corazón comes from the latin word cor and querer comes from quaere. If you have doubts about the orgins of words the Royal Spanish Academy dictionary provides it Just type the word you are looking for and the origin will appear in the heading-.

Out of curiosity...What makes you think there is a common root?

I'm no expert but I think they are two very different words...

I thought of it because their accent sounds the same and the first word describes a feeling and the second one means heart. And our heart initiates our feelings. - ianta, Jun 3, 2011
Your heart pumps blood, feelings of the sentimental variety exist in your head... - afowen, Jun 3, 2011
