Does this make sense? (Spanish holidays)

Saas Feé es la estación se esquí más alta de Europa, por eso lo que tomó mucho tiempo llegar. It is meant to say, in past tense : Saas Feé is the highest ski resort in Europe, therefore it took a long time to get there.

You could also say "por eso tomó tanto tiempo en llegar" --> "that is why it took so long to get there." - gintar77, Jun 3, 2011

why not 'lo que'?

"It" can be translated as "lo", but only as the direct object pronoun. When "it" is the subject, you do not use "lo."
