Posts which will not be corrected or accepted:
- Captions with 3 words or less
- Paragraphs with more than 4 lines
- Blatant machine translations and posts which cannot be understood after three or four readings.
- Posts which consist mainly of lyrics or idioms which do not translate.
- Captions copied directly from books or other sources.
- Multiple posts from one person, or those who don't write the sentences in both English and Spanish.
----------
Remember to correct your posts as suggested or they can NOT be "accepted".
Do not use subject pronouns in Spanish. (You'll be sent to the dunce corner!)

My Example:

Cuando era joven, tenía muchas cintas de audio, y mi papá tenía muchos discos. Hoy, ambos están obsoletos, pero todavía tengo algunas cintas de audio, y mi papá todavía tiene muchos discos...

When I was young, I had a lot of cassette tapes and my Dad had a lot of records. Today, both are obsolete, but I still have some cassette tapes, and my Dad still has a ton of records.

For the right body, a dress with a ribbon at the waist is very flattering.

Para el cuerpo bien hecho, un vestido con una cinta a la cintura es muy favorecedor.

This dress would look better on you Joyce ;) l really liked it! - 00b6f46c, Jun 3, 2011
In actual fact it looks a bit like Joyce, doesn't it? Just with a hint of hair colouring. - Eddy, Jun 3, 2011
Pero... ¿es eso un uso correcto de "cinta"? ¿No debe ser "cinturón"? - mstivers, Jun 3, 2011
I think "cuerpo correcto" is not very usual, maybe "para un cuerpo bien hecho" . Well done, Joyce! :) - cogumela, Jun 3, 2011
Also: we call that "cinturón", not "cinta" :) - cogumela, Jun 3, 2011
Okay, I changed my English sentence and my Spanish sentence. Hopefully I have it right now. - JoyceM, Jun 3, 2011
Bien hecho Joyce!! :) - 001a2987, Jun 4, 2011

No hay problema que no se pueda solucionar con cinta aislante. Well done, mst! Welcome to the forum! :) - cogumela, Jun 3, 2011
Thanks for the grammar correction. - mstivers, Jun 3, 2011
But according to my research, cinta aislante is a plastic electrical tape, while cinta de tela is duct tape. No? - mstivers, Jun 3, 2011

Very good Inge!! :) Only one comment on the English version, the sentence would sound better without the 'anymore' :) - 001a2987, Jun 3, 2011
Thanks, Chris ! - Ingeteacher, Jun 3, 2011
"agotada" ( agobiada does not mean the same) , and "no puedo aguantar hasta la "línea de meta" Good, Inge! :) - cogumela, Jun 3, 2011

Cuando fui de compras hace un par de días vi estos monederos hechos de cintas recicladas; me gustan porque son de moda pero también son ecológicos. ¡Me parecen un idea genial!

Para ganar una cinta negra, se necesita poder disciplinarse y nunca rendirse.

To get a black belt, you need to be able to discipline yourself and never give up.
