In Spanish or English? Your profile does not tell us.
I guess English.
The bank lent me some money - to lend (give)
I borrowed some money from the bank - to borrow (take)
I hope this helps.
To lend .......Prestar
To borrow ........ Pedir prestado
I had a friend in High School that would often turn to me in line at a fast food restaurant and say, "Can you borrow me a dollar?". I would turn to somebody next to us and say, "Can you lend me a dollar for my friend?".
See how my friend was wrong with the word borrow?
He meant... "Can you lend me a dollar?".
Lend means to give something and borrow means to take something.
Example:
My brother lent me a book.
I borrowed a book from my brother.
