Y and variations?
I know that y changes to e before words starting with i or hi but are there any other variations on and in spanish and what are the rules for their use?

"y" changes to "e" for "and" before a word that starts with an "i" sound.
- mi hermano y hermana
- mi hijo e hija
"o" changes to "u" for "or" before a word that starts with an "o" sound.
- ocho o nueve minutos
- diez u once dólares
- siete u ocho pesos
