I wish someone could fix your 'bot' so that we could use some all cap words.. i.e., I wanted to capitalize the abbreviation for my country United States of America... (usa) and I can't even do that! Isn't there a way to fix this?

It is a glitch. It will not be fixed in the foreseeable future. Just do as cristalino suggested (insert a space between the capitals).

Just an FYI, you can use ALL CAPS in the actual posts (like this one), but not in the little grey comment bars below them...nor in the thread titles.

You can use two capital letters next to each other in the grey comment bars, though: LA, for example. - webdunce, Jun 2, 2011
ooh good too know. too bad the only time i want to use caps is to say lol or lmfao - brainlady, Jun 2, 2011
Great info, WD... like the saying goes: you learn something new everyday! :) - cristalino, Jun 2, 2011
Many creative alternatives have been used, like LoL and RoFL :) - pesta, Jun 2, 2011
If you just try to say LOL, it won't let you... but if you write a lot, it will. SEE? - Tosh, Jun 2, 2011
In fact, it will let you type a BUNCH of letters in a row if you type a lot. :) - Tosh, Jun 2, 2011
Randomly, it allows it. Never knew why. - webdunce, Jun 2, 2011
Wow.. strange, thanks, Tosh! - Gillygaloo, Jun 2, 2011

It is my understanding that if you simply insert a space in between your capitalized initials, as U S A (no need for underscores or hyphens)... that business about it makes the writer appear to be yelling is such a weak premise, almost childish if you ask me... people who tend to use capitals will eventually become ignored in this forum... to disallow it actually is counterproductive, as some contributors may simply choose not to comment based on that "rule" alone.... raspberry
