How would you interpret this? Flirting...?

Question

I understand the literal meaning, but I'm not sure if I am taking it the right way or not. I was hoping maybe someone of the same culture could maybe tell me what they think could have been meant by this. I am familiar with the phrase "sueñas con los angelitos"... However, I was told "Ok bye, te cuidas, y sueñas con los......quien tu quieras....tambien besos." I understand this literally to mean "Ok bye, take care, and dream with the... (starting to say the "dream with angels" phrase)... whoever you would want... and kisses too." Correct? But how would you normally take this culturally? What do you think was implied? Would you consider this an "indirecta" or what? Thanks.

soñar con = dream OF; quien tú quieras (since querer is in subjunctive) roughly equals "dream of...of whomever you want." (Although, it could mean "of whomever you love" I think). I'm not a native, so I've added my comment here and not as a "real" answer. - webdunce, Jun 1, 2011

My take on this is "OK bye, take care (should be imperative), dream with (also needs to be imperative, started to say "angles" but changed his mind, wanted to say "of me," changed his mind to not be presumptuous and finally settled on "who you love"), also kisses.

"Of the same culture?"... would be which culture to begin with?... I think your query would better be answered if we knew what cultural exposure your friend has had... and is this someone you know well or just a passing acquaintance? I believe with all that you have told us, this individual was just being nice and perhaps a bit coy... bottom line, has this person ever made any advances or even innuendoes that he might be "interested" in you? Start there, my guess....
