To go lower?
As in, 'the feather drifted lower and lower' or 'the syrup dripped lower and lower'

Mas bajo. Literally=more low. In Spanish "mas" is used in the same way as adding "er" to the end of a word.
Just out of curiosity, couldn't you say "baja y baja" for "lowers and lowers"? Gracias.
It would be más with an accent. Más bajo.
