Cockpit vs Cabin

When I search "cockpit" on here it tells me cabina. And when I search cabin it tells me the same. I just need to know what you call the "cockpit" (where the pilots of planes sit) in spanish.

Please and thank-you!! smile

"Cabina de mando" is where the pilots are located.

Cabina is used for the enclosure of many vehicles. Cabina refers to the cabin on a ship so it seems logical that it would be used for the cockpit of an (airship) or airplane. It also is used for the cab of a pickup truck.

This is what I got when I googled: cabina de aeroplano foto

However, cockpit and cabin on a plane can vary in meaning depending on the plane.

cockpit
