Wannalearn, also check the article you use for "pregunta". The English article is definite ("the") but the Spanish article you have written is "un". The sentence does not convey the same message if the article is not consistent.

The question you asked is "I have asked a to ask...." you use preguntado when you say no le he preguntado. I have not asked him/her. or le he preguntado, pero no me contesta. I have asked him/her, but he/she does not answer me.

In this instance, chileno had it right.

He hecho lapregunta, pero no he recibido una respuesta aún. Or, you could move aún to just behind pero

like so He hecho lapregunta, pero aún no he recibido una respuesta .
