Need some help with: "un veulo" or "una viaja" ?

I want to say, "However, a flight on a plane is very expensive."
So far i have this- "Ademas, una viaja/un vuelo en un avion es muy caro"
Is this correct?

I would have said it this way:
Además, viajar por avión es muy caro.

This is viajar used as a noun, "to travel by plane is very expensive" - pesta, Jun 1, 2011
... or is it more common to say it, "viajar en avión" ... ? - pesta, Jun 1, 2011
