Yo/Me Question

Hola everyone,

I've heard people use both "Yo voy a...." and "Me voy a....". What's the difference? I would really appreciate getting an answer or two from some native speakers. Muchas gracias :D.

Yo is used when you say I am going to, in answer to where are you going. Me voy is when you are going now. Me voy a la tienda, I am going to the store (now) .

It is the difference between "ir" (to go) and "irse" (to leave).
