So all the songs by "Keane" have been translated, pretty well, by some guy on the youtube.

But I don't think he speaks English, some of them are too literal but they aren't machine translations.

And this one just doesn't make sense to me.

The difference is slight, but important. Mantenerme is keep myself awake, and permancecer is stay awake.

So you like "permanecer despierto" to "mantenerme despierto"? Any particular reason, do they both work or is mantenerme wrong there?
