From what country is his accent?

Okay, so I can't put my finger on this guy's accent. I sense a bit of Cuban, but it would make no sense for him to have a Cuban accent in the show. It's also set in the 1800s, so could it be like an old Spaniard accent?

He aspirates all the s at the end of words and in between vowels in words so I would say possibly Cuban, Puerto Rican, Panamanian or northern coastal areas of Colombia or Venezuela. No, not an old Spanish accent.

The actor is Nestor Carbonell and, according to Wikipedia, he was born in the US to Cuban parents.

Yet, it doesn't seem like he simply has a Cuban accent. It seems mixed. Though it sounds very nice.

So in the scene the woman and the man have two distinct accents, right? The woman sounds normal to me, the man (Nestor carbonell) speaks Spanish in a way I haven't really ever heard.

Can someone say FOR SURE, that this is a purely Cuban accent?
