What's the context? It does mean "don't hit me", however, in some areas, "no me las pegues" is an idiom that means "don't cheat on me"

Yes it means that. But take it in account that "pegar" in Spanish also means "to stick or to glue(I´m not sure in English)"...
Aquí está un ejemplo:
¿Me puedes ayudar a pegar estos posters en la pared?
