Don't start what you can't finish.

No comiences lo que no puedas terminar.

I would go with puedes. You don't want to say "what you might not finish". You want to say "what you can't finish". - 0074b507, May 29, 2011
I would go with puedas. - jeezzle, May 29, 2011
What you might not be able to finish. - jeezzle, May 29, 2011
oooh decisions, decisions who to believe, I went with puedas because it's future and/or only a possibility so I'll leave it as it is for now and see if I get any more input either way lol :) Gracias señores! - Kiwi-Girl, May 29, 2011
"puedas" definitely. When you warn him, you do so because you are assuming he won't be able to finish, not because it's a certain thing he won't finish. Also,,, - Oramasdude, May 29, 2011
....even if you wanna say "what you can't finish", think in terms of how Spanish works, regardless of what a direct translation would tell you to do. - Oramasdude, May 29, 2011
yipee, nice to make the right choice sometimes, hey Oramasdude, you're proving to be a very helpful wee chap, gracias :) Is Spanish your native language? (seems that way but your profile is a little skinny :p) - Kiwi-Girl, May 29, 2011
Nice :) - Fidalgo, May 29, 2011
kiwi, both are possible, so everybody is right here, jeje, - 00494d19, May 29, 2011

I would go with "puedas". By the way, I agree with Heidita...you have an enthusiasm about this whole "learning Spanish" thing that is just beautiful to witness. - 002067fe, May 29, 2011

Nadie puede volver atrás y comenzar de nuevo, pero cualquiera puede comenzar hoy y crear un nuevo final.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

Each day before I start working, I check SpanishDict to see what I missed while I was sleeping.

Cada día antes de comenzar a trabajar, examino SpanishDict para ver lo que me perdí mientras estaba durmiendo.
