If asking ¿Cómo sigues?..........

someone has to have been sick, or been doing poorly, right?

because If asking ¿Cómo sigues?..........you are not asking ¿Cómo estás? at all

but more like "Are you doing better?"

So

¿Cómo sigues? = ¿Ya te encuentras mejor?

Is that right? Gracias.

Yes. It does not have to be only about health though. It is related to the other person not doing well financially, emotionally, or health wise.

You can also use ¿Cómo te sientes? in this case..

Would an acceptable reply be - Ahi ando - basically saying, oh, so-so.

FYI I was able to successfully use this in a conversation tonight and appear to know what I was talking about. lol
