I like it!

I like it!

This is probably so simple, but I just can't wrap my head around it.

To say, "I like it!", where does the "lo" go?

Lo me gusta!

Me lo gusta!

Surely not, Me gusta lo!

Or is it just, Me gusta! without a lo?

And what if the "it" that you are referring to is a feminine thing?

While you're at it, tell me how to say, "I don't like it!", too, por favor! LOL

Me gusta. 'it' is the subject in this, so it is omitted. (it) pleases me. (?) me gusta.

So.. Me gusta! I like it!

No me gusta... I don't like it..

If the 'it' is feminine, nothing changes, as the subject 'it' is usually omitted in Spanish.

Correct! The hidden subject in this case is "eso". ¡(Eso) me gusta! - gintar77, May 28, 2011
