Just like "encantado"

If I am female, I should say "encantada"

How about "tranquilo" ?

If i am female, I say "tranquila"

If that right?

Or if you are giving a command to "calm down" use tranquilizar(se) in the appropriate command form. or Calmarse.

Cálmate.

Cálmese.

Tranquilízate.

Tranquilícese.

By just saying tranquilo or tranquila you are merely saying an adjective, similar to me saying "serene" or "friendly" or "calm". You are not actually telling the person to póngase tranquilo.

It needs to agree with the gender of the person you are referring to. You are encantada as you are female. You tell guys to be traquilo and gals tranquila.

This depends on whether the person you are telling to calm down is male or femalesmile. If they are male: tranquilo, if they are female: tranquila.

True, but I'm sure I've heard this in films when someone's crying and another person is trying to comfort them. It seemed to be used in the same way that "hush" would be used - when "hush" is used in a comforting way at least raspberry.

Yes, but hush can be a verb, like hush up...so it is not a good analogy, but I understand you point. We say "quiet" for "be quiet", but quiet can be a verb also.t. - 0074b507, May 26, 2011
Yeah, I think the 'está/esté' is implicit. - afowen, May 26, 2011

The answer is all the above wink. But it does depend on the gender, tranquilo for male and tranquila for female.
