You can also use the construction used in Spain ''echar de menos '' meaning to miss someone:

Te ( o le) echamos de menos

Te (o le) extrañamos (from extrañar) is equally correct but this construction is more commonly used in South and Central America

Our dictionary gives us both, just like Feliz mentioned:


echar de menos (feel lack of);

extrañar (especialmente Am)•I miss you -> te echo de menos, te extraño (especialmente Am)

Apparently "extrañar" is more commonly used in this fashion in the Americas, per our dictionary.... cool hmm
