I think that this is one case where the literal translation doesn't sound right. Using "dirty" as a verb and an adjective in the same sentence would not be used.

Don't contaminate my mind with those dirty thoughts.

Don't dirty my mind with those unclean thoughts.

Hola jojo, pues no me consta que dirty se pueda usar como verbo, pero en inglés todo es posible, jeje, así que espera a algún nativo de esa lengua.

So, I would say:

With your dirty thoughts you stain/soil my mind.

Make dirty sería lo más común para ensuciar...pero vamos a esperar mejorgrin

(¿Has visto nuestras lecciones de ingléswink )

To dirty is a verb in English. But, to use the same word twice in quick succession neither sounds nor looks good, I suppose it to be the same in Spanish...

To use dirty as a verb in English is pretty high-level, bordering on poetic and so it might not be apt in the above instance.

However, in saying that it is not 'good' to repeat words, it you move the stress onto yourself in the sentence, and away from the noun/verb, then it works:

You're giving me dirty thoughts with that dirty mind of yours.

Your dirty thoughts are giving me dirty thoughts.

To talk about dirtying one's mind, although grammatically correct, does not sound natural, unless, of course, you are a poet...

I am not poet... :( I did it just to see the difference! thanks - jojotape, May 25, 2011
Pues, keep it up and you might get there :-). I think Joyce's suggestion is better, not using the same word twice. - afowen, May 25, 2011
