Question

Well, it looks like the preacher has revised his "rapture date" by saying that the world is now under "Christ's judgement" and will last until Oct 21, when the globe will be destroyed. He further states there is no reason to warn people, since judgement has already been passed on the world.

Hmm. A friend of mine from Argentina gave me a new Bible this morning (Reina Valera, 2000). I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but it will probably say the same thing my NVI says, but maybe in different words. I don't remember reading anything like this in that Bible.

Oh well. I intended to ice skate at Rockefeller Plaza for my 60th birthday, but that appears to be in question.

As I said in my previous response Jesus has made it clear that no-one knows when the father has chosen to send Jesus back for the second coming! I just plan to be ready when he actually returns.

And what's so special about the day 21?

Solstices and equinoxes occur around the 21st, so the day is popular in astrology and other forms of prophesy. May 21 is the beginning of Gemini and Oct. 21 is the beginning of Scorpio. Perhaps he saw the twins as representing the duality of Jesus as a man and the son of God, and the scorpion as a deadly attack.

Overall, it is difficult to assign logical reasons to something that is fundamentaly illogical.

I just don't understand why this man is continuing this charade... He already predicted the Rapture once, in the '80s (I believe this is the same guy), was wrong, predicted again on May 21, was wrong again, and is now spewing out more nonsense?

From my understanding of what I heard about the man and his predictions, May 21st was the rapture date and October 21st was the "judgement day" (end of the world).

So, it sounds like nothing has changed there. I guess he is still claiming the Oct 21 destruction date.
