Sentence game! (05) - Music, Musicians & Dance

6
votes

I want people to find as many sentences as possible that are about Music and Musicians!

Rules:
- The person that has the most votes will win!
- The sentence has to be longer than 6 words.
- The sentence has to be shorter than 21 words.
- You have to write it in English and Spanish.
- You can post more than once if you like!
- Nothing offensive please!
- I would appreciate it if pictures were included!
- Anyone is welcome to post!
----------
- You have to correct your posts according to Lazarus.

My example:

I can sing, play the piano and play the guitar.

Yo puedo cantar, tocar el piano y tocar la guitarra.

(Please edit this if I am wrong, I am only a beginner!).

.

Okay, let's see what creative sentences you guys are able to come up with!

That "by" used to indicate the author for a creative work is translated as "de", not "por". The preposition "por" is mainly to give reasons. - lazarus1907, May 24, 2011
Also, "favoritos" (-> el álbum), and "escucharlo cuando me quiero..." You wrote "listen to (a person) the thing I want to relax" - lazarus1907, May 24, 2011
I have that album too, it does have a tendency to put one to sleep. - amykay, May 24, 2011
I love that album. too, Leatha - sanlee, May 24, 2011

Did you? Now that is interesting! +1 Sanlee ;-) - Destroyed99, May 24, 2011
I'm not sure how to translate "worship band ", but you can't put "iglesia" and "alabanza" together like that (and it makes no sense). - lazarus1907, May 24, 2011
Maybe "banda de culto de la iglesia"? At least it is grammatically correct. If you are going to provide a definite time frame, you really want to use "toqué"; "tocaba" is for unspecified periods. Check "años" too. - lazarus1907, May 24, 2011
Thanks, Lazarus. I hope that I have it the right way now. - sanlee, May 25, 2011

Don't forget that "a" in "A alguna...". In Spanish, "some people" is an indirect object, not a subject. - lazarus1907, May 24, 2011
And you'll have to do the same with "especialmente A los hombres". - lazarus1907, May 24, 2011
I was being facetious Johanna! jeje - amykay, May 24, 2011

Cantar una cancion es como una sonrisa del voz. To sing a song is like smiling with one's voice.
