Quédate con el cambio

Quédate con el cambio

Recently I discovered that among many of it's uses, quedar can be keep IE me lo llevo (I'll take that) = me lo quedo. (I'll keep that)

Keep the change: better suited as Quédate con el cambio (friend) OR Quédese con el cambio (usted, at a store)

Guardar simply doesn't work there right? Guarda el cambio means, put away the change, put it away (in a safe place) but it still belongs to me. You put it away for me......... Right? Gracias.
