Uses of the present indicative
I would like to know how to say things like.
I'm calling you. I'm going through customs. is inspecting is showing is asking is happening.

I think you're going for the progressive present indicative here.
It's formed by dropping the -ar and adding -ando or dropping the -er/-ir and adding -iendo.
Use it with estar: I am walking. Estoy andando (from 'andar').
It's used just like English, EXCEPT it can only be used for things that are happening right at the time. You can't say "I'm studying tonight for my exam" in spanish, for it's describing a future action and not one that is happening right now.
