May I use the word "caja" to describe a packing box for moving?

Hello Wendy, welcome to the Forum.
Yes, caja is the right word.
To avoid confusion, I would say "La caja de cartón" or just "El cartón."
If you are using a normal-sized box "caja" is fine. Here are some other options too.
If you're using a bigger box, like a storage container, you can use:
- recipiente para embalaje
- caja de embalaje
..
If you're using a crate or container (bigger again), you can use:
- cajón (de embalaje)
- jaula (although this also means "cage")

Can I take this oppurtunity to ask, what is the most natural way to say "to-go" box?
