That new old story
I believe that I have devised a better way to work this out. First I will back up a bit and pick up after the drunken thug has broken his neck. The tailor is Adán and his friend is Iñigo.

Fuera de la tienda, Íñigo y tres de sus colegas vieron al hombre entrar en la tienda. Desde la pequeña ventana de la tienda [...] vieron (o creyeron que vieron) al sastre golpear al hombre con ambas manos y tirarlo al suelo. Cuando los cuatro entraron corriendo en la tienda, Don Felicidados se adelantó y le dio al muerto un codazo con su bastón.
