Ahora, voy a poner la cebolla verde en el queso. Después, pongo los tomates en la quesadilla de queso.

im trying to say "Now, i am going to put the green onions on the cheese. After that, I put the tomatoes on the cheese quesadilla."

I got confused when it came to 'after that' i didnt know what to put for 'that' so i just put 'despues'.

am i right?

Your English sentence ''Now, i am going to put the green onions on the cheese. After that, I put the tomatoes on the cheese quesadilla."

I would say:

Ahora, voy a poner las cebollas en el queso Después de eso voy a poner los tomates en el quesadilla de queso

= Now, I am going to put the green onions on the cheese, After that I will put the tomatoes on the cheese quesadilla.

I hope that helpsgrin

Change "después" to "entonces." But you have another problem. The verb tenses don't make sense. Perhaps you want to say "I am going to" in the first sentence and "I will" in the second.

You are right to put "después".
