That was my first impression also, his phrasing was odd. "I'm a better waiter with you". He should probably say "Por ti, soy mejor camararo", or "Gracias a ti, soy mejor camarero". - Oramasdude, May 21, 2011

Te ves muy bien hoy means, you see very well today, if you are trying to compliment the lady by saying she looks very well it should be: Te veo muy bien hoy, literally you to me look very good.
