¡Pasas un bien fin de semana largo!

[I know that] You are having a long weekend!

That's indicative, which means that you know that the other person is already having a long weekend. Nice of you to notice such a thing! Or you didn't intend to declare your belief about reality? If that's the case, use subjunctive!

In one James Bond's movie, supposedly happening in Spain, a Spanish policeman sees James running, so he supposedly shouts "Don't move!". However, he shouts (with a strong foreign accent):

¡No se mueve! = He is not moving!

instead of

¡No se mueva! = Don't move!

Who said recently that the study of the subjunctive can be omitted because you can understand and get understood perfectly without it?

Anyway, both "pasar" and "tener" would work here... in subjunctive, not indicative, since indicative indicates, and you are not indicating anything, but wishing that it happens.

Probably the same person that said "semana largo" was OK. - lorenzo9, May 20, 2011
And I know fin is masculine :) - lorenzo9, May 20, 2011
laz...you're really good at this but you remind me of the teachers of the last century who walked around the class with a ruler in hand and smacked the hand of a student who answered wrong...ja,ja - foxluv, May 20, 2011

Both "Que pases un buen fin de semana" and "Que tengas un buen fin de semana" are OK.

Why "que" and why "buen"? buen,bien,bueno...good, good, good...so hard to pick on the spot. - foxluv, May 20, 2011
