How do you say in Spanish, to 'stand out in (or from) the crowd?

i.e., 'She stands out from the crowd.'

Literally, I would say "Ella sobresale entre la multitud"

Figuratively, "Ella sobresale" o "Ella se destaca". I'm sure there are other ways to convey it.

I would say the same, but there might be other possibilities. - lazarus1907, May 20, 2011
By the way, a li'l thing that I have always been confused about; Is it incorrect to say "...sobresale de entre la multitud", with the added "de"? I could've sworn it was also accepted, but maybe I imagined it. Thanks. - 002067fe, May 20, 2011

This could be translated as the expression "salirse de lo común". Your example: 'She stands out from the crowd' would be "Ella se sale de lo común" or "Ella está fuera de lo común".

I think this is what you mean.

and sorry for my bad english lol
