Let's share music!

I am sick and tired of my Spanish play list. Music has been one of the most effective ways I have learned and retained Spanish vocabulary (and idiomatic expressions). So I figured there's no better way to find new music than to ask people to post youtube links to their most favorite Latin songs!

Estoy buscando nueva musica latina. Me pueden ayudar? Me encanta bachata y el rock espanol, desde Monchi y Alexandra hasta Los Enanitos Verdes y Soda Stereo! En todo caso, ayudenme por publicar vinculos a tus favorits canciones latinas en youtube!

I'll start by posting two links to my favorite Latin band, los Enanitos Verdes. (The lyrics are included in the video for those who want to read it as they listen!)

Enjoy!

Hi Generalisimo smile.

You could try listening to some radio stations. Those are great for finding new music smile. DJ put together an amazing reference article with over 600 different stations so I'm sure you'll be able to find one that you like smile.

I listen to plenty. but radio stations tend to have a cycle of music that one becomes all too familiar with after a while. i'm hoping people can provide links to older songs and other songs that arent on the charts right now. - la-araña-discoteca, May 19, 2011
but ill check out the reference article. thanks a bunch! - la-araña-discoteca, May 19, 2011

Here's a good song by Il Divo: Angelina

@dewclaw: Do you think "No te metas a mi Facebook" means, don't bother me Facebook, don't come between me and my Facebook or what?

Don't involve yourself with me Facebook. I guess it means, don't bother me.

Here are two old songs redone by Luis Miguel, live with Mariachi. He puts a lot more energy into these two songs than most of his others. Lyrics are easily found as well. If I hear this music much more, I´ll be returning to Mexico.

Try this one. If you like it I have many songs I like in the same genre.

As far as songs like "mil horas" that's exactly what I'm looking for. Jeezle just put me onto Duncan Dhu. It's sort of similar.

No, they don't play any Spanish music here in Ecuador. . .well, hardly ever. Lots of South American music though.

I like "Los Tigres Del Norte", their "Raices" album has some good songs for beginners as well, "Sin Ti", "Cien Años", I believe these are "Norteño" standards, that have been performed for ages.

Sin Ti
