Questions and Warning
Muchas gracias for the suggestions given! Now, por favor, mis amigos, some exclamations like "Your mother's mustache!", "So's your old man!" , "Up your nose with a rubber hose!" and similar thoughts pero en español! muchas gracias de antemano!
Before I approach "New old story 5", I need to ask for some input; I have learned the hard way that there is a multitude of idiomatic phrases in Spanish, and for most of those phrases, there is no simple English-Spanish translation! (Like "me gusta", right?) I need some common exclamations (besides Caramba and Excelente); in English one would say, "Oh, my!" or "How about that?!" or "Good golly Miss Molly" and none of these translates. I need expressions of surprise, amazement and disbelief, also congratulatory phrases, comfort sayings, and nasty stuff (like a school bully favorite sayings)
Now, the warning - this could drive you really nuts, it is getting to me. If you do a Google search on smileys ... guess what ads will appear on your S.D. screen? At first I thought they were cute; now not so much ....

Cielos is like oh my I would use it if you want to Dios Mios or Por Dios out of respect for God's name..
"Dios mio" doesn't carry the same weight as using the lord's name in vein in English. (at least that is what I have experienced) It's the same in French (Mon Dieu!)
