Our dictionary has the following
Halo = el hano.
another dictionary has
halo, aureola
As the "h" is silent in Spanish is our dictionary correcct?

That's interesting because hano is not in the D R A E nor in our dictionary here. They both have halo (yes, it's also a Spanish word) and aureola. And you're right, the H is silent in Spanish. It's either an unfortunate mistake or a rude joke.
