How do you pronounce the "ll" and "y"? I was watching a Spanish documentary on TV about the Cathedral de" Santiago de Compostela " where the narrator was pronouncing those words with an 's" sound. I thought you pronounce "LL" like Y?

I think i know what you mean. I use to have a customer who would like sandwiches on KAISER roll and that S sounded to me like the G in beige. Pretty close to our LL and Y. I am Chilean. :) - chileno, May 16, 2011

The pronunciation depends on the accent. Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, anecdotally speaking, pronounce it with an "sh" sound. Where did the documentary come from?
