In English nice can mean pleasant or kind but each of these words can be translated by a different Spanish word:

Nice = meaning pleasant = agradable eg Pasamos un día agradable = We had a very nice or enjoayble day.

Nice = meaning kind = amable eg: Eres una persona amable = You are a kind person

Símpático = friendly Although I agree with Jeezle that this word can mean cool I would use the word guay (adj) to mean cool

I hope that helps grin

Depends in what kind of nice. Simpático would work. A nice object or person could be "lindo/a". Nice like "a nice person" would be "amable" or "agradable". Nice-looking could be "hermosa". These are just a few. Try typing "nice" into the dictionary portion of the site and you could find all sorts of contexts and synonyms.
