A lack of information
Am I correct in saying una falta de informacion. Somehow it didn't sound correct.

Found this example on the Net:
Lack of information denies people the opportunity to develop their potential to the fullest and realize the full range of their human rights. =>
La falta de información priva a las personas de la oportunidad de desarrollar su potencial al máximo y de gozar de todos sus derechos humanos.
I suppose one could use "carencia de información" equally, but I believe "falta" is more acceptable and frequently used....
