Que diferencia entre festival y feria? Cuando fui en Mexico, the celebration before Lent (aka Mardi Gras) was called the feria. Or was that the parade? Is a festival then like traveling fair or circus?

The time before Lent is Carnaval.
Feria is like a fair or travelling carnival.
Circus is circo.
A festival is a festival.
A holiday is un día feriado.

so the carnivals set up along the streets (booth for games, food etc ) are the feria during Carnaval - Marsviking, May 16, 2011
